Medical User Interface

This product is a medical interface panel, designed for an established electrical device manufacturer. Our client required a panel that could be easily disinfected on a daily basis.

Traditionally, most interface panels used within medical equipment include mechanical buttons, however, this results in gaps between buttons where bacteria can gather. Such button panels are therefore difficult to disinfect.

This product has been designed using touch technology. This provides a single surface that can be effectively disinfected. The entire unit has been designed to eliminate any features or crevices where bacteria may accumulate.

This project incorporated an initial concept development stage, followed by detail design using SolidWorks 3D CAD. Prototype units were then produced and promotional images were created using photo-realistic rendering software.
